Cambria's First Birthday!

I need to apologize for taking so long to
update everyone, but i hope you enjoy! Cambria (and Uncle Brent) Celebrated a Birthday on July 12! Cambria turned ONE! Uncle Brent blew out a few more candles than that.. Brie is such a water baby, so we knew just a few guests and a cool pool would do the trick!

We played with some balloons and laughed hysterically when one popped!

Opened some presents, and were sure to tear any paper around into a billion microscopic pieces!

Ate some yummy cupcakes!

Looked cute!

Stuffed our faces some more!
We finished the day in the most perfect way for our little girl; In the pool!

It amazes me to think that the baby girl above, only days old, grew into such a remarkable toddler.

Cambria, or as you will affectionately hear us call her, "Monkey", is so incredibly filled with light, and wonder, and love. It's interesting to see her "little" personality develop. She has a fond likeness for cats, cheese, pools, my Tupperware, and her Daddy. She loves everyone, and always has a hug and a kiss to share. I love that she is learning who her family is and visibly lights up when Colin walks through the door. I feel so blessed that she chose Colin and I to be her Daddy and Mommy. We sure love her, especially Grandpa Herrell and Grandpa Lillie, who she has safely wrapped around her little pinky. It's unbelievable really, how much this little girl has taught our family about... so many things! (Babies are born without kneecaps, if you buy Children's Advil for your 10 month old baby, you will get your child high, Blueberries; That one food your child will actually eat, for every meal, that will subsequently ruin every cute and expensive outfit they come in contact with...) In all sincerity though, the first time the nurse places that little baby in your arms, you instantly make it your own personal mission to light up the World. To love deeper than you ever have, to play more, to try everything, to hurt no one, and to exceed even your own expectations. It's magical really, being a parent.
Making the decision to have a child is momentous.  It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.  ~Elizabeth Stone
